Driving up the Pacific Highway to San Francisco

Driving up to San Francisco and partying with the locals  – Travel log no. 31

A little bit hangover I left my host in the morning to meet up with Markéta to get my check with the tax refunds.

I had a long drive up to San Francisco in front of me. I decided to take the Pacific Highway 101. It was a beautiful route mainly through the mountains. I actually expected it to run right next to the Pacific. There is also the Highway 1. I probably mixed it up. But I might take it down to see the Point Lobos.

101, California
The landscape really reminds me of the Tuscany. You see many wine fields and hills. This picture is special because in this valley you could only find oil pumps.
Mountains, 101, California
The sun sets slowly over the cloudy mountains. The second half of my trip was rainy.
Sunset, 101, California
It took me 4 hours to get out of LA. The only bummer was that I didn’t have time to stop by along the way.

Around 10pm I made it to Yu’s place. He was hosting a French party. Which meant we would drink wine and cheese and only talk in French. My French is super rusty. But it was still fun and I made some friends. Afterwards we went out to the bars and saw a drag queen show.

I can’t wait to explore the city during day light today!
