Hiking through Zion National Park

Zion National Park and camping on the Quail Creek – Travel log no. 26

It took us about 2 hours to get to Zion where we had to search for good parking first. We took the shuttle to explore the hidden canyon. The dimensions of the park are really impressive as well as having so much water in the middle of the desert.

Afterwards we still had some time to hike the upper pool trail. The park is really worth to spend at least a week of hiking. Unfortunately we are on a busy schedule since I got to drop off Annika and Eric in LA on the 22. March.

At the end of the trail we came to the natural pools on the side of the mountain and also saw the huge falls. The falls are so big that you hardly can take good pictures of it.

It was getting dark again so we drove out of Zion and camped at the Quail Creek lake in Hurricane.

The sunrise this morning was just beautiful. Today we are driving off through Las Vegas to Palm Springs to meet up with Peter our Great Cousin. Excited to meet up with some family again and to see the Mojave and Joshua Tree Park on the way.
