Sunset from the Eureka Tower in Melbourne
Watching the sunset from the 88th floor and partying at the Asian Beer Café – Travel log no. 50
Still struggling with the jet lack I got up at 6 am after partying till 2 am. I had some breakfast and was finally able to do my laundry. Most of the afternoon I relaxed outside with my friends enjoying the nice weather over some beers.
For the sunset we took the tram downtown to watch the sunset from the Eureka tower, Melbourne’s tallest building. From the 88th floor we had a great view over the whole city.
The sunset itself was taking place on the opposite site of the building. Unfortunately it was hard to take good pictures through the tainted windows, but the view was a blast nevertheless.
Afterwards we went straight to the Asian Beer Café to enjoy the $8 beer pitcher special. We stayed there for the rest of the night and went home by midnight.
Melbourne feels really busy and crowded at night. Comparable with cities like New York. The ABC was a fun place they played good EDM Music even though people didn’t really seem too approachable.
Today I am planning on checking out some more sights downtown. I already feel a little bit tired of the big city and can’t wait to finally see the countryside of Australia.
