The Royal Botanic Gardens of Melbourne
Walking through the park and checking out Hosier Lane – Travel log no. 51
Finally after weeks I was able to work out again. After that I drove downtown to check out the Royal Botanical Garden. It is a huge park area with some war memorials.
One of them is the shrine of remembrance. A huge building concrete building with lion sculptures.
The Royal Botanical Gardens itself is a park with a lake in the middle and plants from all over the world planted in different sections of the park. It is definitely one of the most beautiful parks I have seen so far. Families are all over the park having pick-nick and enjoying the long Easter weekend. The atmosphere is really calming and relaxed.
Afterwards I walked further downtown to check out the Hosier Lane. This street is known for it’s ever changing graffiti art. Even the trash bins in this part of the city are sprayed with colors.
After sunset I took the tram back to St. Kilda. Meet up with some friends close to the beach and had a view drinks.
Back at the hostel I met up with Filip who took me to a party at his old time friends place. We had a couple of drinks and went out to party at the lucky rooster. At 3 am we went home. So far I have been out every single day of my stay here in Melbourne. I feel like I need some rest. Today I will check out the Victoria Market.
