Flying into Australia

Excited to explore a new continent – Travel log no. 47

I left around 8 am made it to the airport and flew off to Sydney around noon.

Luckily I was able to drink myself through the menu since my flight got upgraded to Qantas. Besides I got up to date on several movies I haven’t had time to watch yet.

I had a beautiful view on Sydney while flying into the city. Unfortunately it was already too dark to take proper pictures.

I was exited to get on a new continent and experience new culture. Unfortunately the first impression about Australian cultured felt more like America with weird accent. I am still able to pay with my American card, no language barriers and people look similar.

I had to wait 4 hours to get my connection to Melbourne. In the meantime I tried to extend my layover which wasn’t possible. So I arrived in Melbourne Tuesday Morning. So flying over here took me 16 hours but I arrived 2 days later.

At 1 am I made it to the hostel thanks to a night bus and Uber and can’t wait for the next day to hopefully meet some real Australians and seeing the city.
