Snorkeling in old Volcanos – Molikini Crater

Watching whales and swimming with sea turtles. – Travel log no. 45

We got up early in the morning and this time we had no issues to get on the boat. It took about an hour to get to the sunken volcano crater Molikini.

The water was just super clear and the fish would swim a hand a way from and around you. In addition it was cool to watch the colorful coral reef swimming along the crater wall. I got to see huge eels and fish in all colors you can imagine.

The second stop of the cruise was the Maluaka Beach a good spot to watch and swim with sea turtles.

The sea turtles were just chill and it was fun to watch them gliding majestically through the water.

On the way back the Quicksilver suddenly stopped. And I should call this my favorite part of the cruise later on.

Out of the deep of the ocean a big humpback whale appeared.

It was really impressive and humbling to see one of these creatures in real life.

Being back at the hostel I had to say good bye to my friends and getting ready to fly to O’ahu.
