Riding down the Keys

Experiencing one of the most beautiful places in the world  – Travel log no. 12

The ride down to the keys was just insane. When you think it cannot get any better, the next island will make you think twice. The water is colored in all kind of blue tones from light to dark blue. It’s probably also hard to describe in words right now, because I am still super hangover from last night. On the way down we stopped by at a pelican feeding station, thats were I took this picture:

Down on Key West we went straight to the beach and had a couple of beers. Afterwards we went to Dante’s a beach bar and experienced Spring Break in its full magnitude. Kids and adults were just dancing and drinking and enjoying the summer weather in early spring. We enjoyed a really beautiful sunset as you can see in the title picture.

Being a little bit drunk already we were riding back on the bed of my hosts truck to move my car. It’s a constant pain, since I am in Miami I nearly got towed three times already. The French girls were already tired so our plan didn’t work out to just crush on the beach. So my host just got us a hotel room we stayed in with 5 people.

After we set the girls to sleep we went out partying on Duval Street. It was probably my craziest party night in a while. Hard to find the right words right now, but one thing is for sure – Spring Break on the Keys is amazing!

My host and his neighbor are the coolest guys ever. It’s like we have been friends for years. I decided to stay a little bit longer in Miami, can’t wait to see more!

From Orlando to Miami

Most scenic sunset so far from South Beach on Miami  – Travel log no. 11

I will try to keep it a little bit shorter this time. We will drive down to the keys today. I am already super excited for that already.

Yesterday morning my host and I checked out Orlando downtown. They have a beautiful lake right downtown. The park hosts a bird shelter so you can see different species of exotic birds out there.

The drive down to Miami took probably about 5 hours because of dense traffic. By the time I made it downtown I had too pee so badly that I actually had to get off on the docks in-between downtown and South Beach. Because there was nothing around I peed right on the exit circle. So when you drove to South Beach yesterday you probably saw me standing there.

Finally I met up with my host a really cool laid back pilot and we took a bike ride through the city. Took the beautiful picture of the sunset you can see in my title of downtown Miami. Afterwards we had Las Olas Cafe a real cool Cuban sandwich restaurant and had a Cuban sandwich. The vibes in South Beach are just awesome, I feel like I could stay here forever!

Back home we met up with his other guests two french girls and his neighbor. We partied a little bit on the patio and when I was drunk the tow truck came by to tow me from the front yard. Luckily I wasn’t too drunk to tell him to go and tow somebody else.  It seemed to have worked out because my car is still there. Well hope you guys have a good Sunday, I am driving down to Key West now!
