Exploring Key West Island
Exploring Key West historic downtown during daylight – Travel log no. 13
After the night of partying it was really hard to get up. We went all for breakfast at Camille’s Restaurant where we had a good and hearty breakfast. Slowly recovering from the hangover we all together checked out the most Southern Point of the island. You can a picture of it you find below. From here its only 90 miles to Cuba island. The actually most Southern Point is actually on a military base.
Afterwards we split up, my host Eric and his neighbor Alberto rode back to South Beach to actually pick up 2 new surfers and I stayed with the French girls to explore the historic downtown. We left the car at the hostel and walked down Duval st to the Marina where we got ice cream. We ended up at the random dock you can see as a title picture and just enjoyed life.
It got late pretty quickly so left Key West to meet up our friends in South Beach with a heavy heart. On the way home we picked up a small dinner at the groceries store. That we enjoyed after watching the sun set. For this picture we actually had to sneak into a construction site but it was definitely worth it. No risk no fun!
Back in Miami we had some cheesecake on the girls request at the Cheesecake Factory. They are about to head back to France this week. Then we met up the new two French men and had a couple of beers. The night was way to short – again. We got up at 4.30 am this morning to go fishing on lake Okeeshobee, can’t wait to write about it. I am excited to drive up to Tampa now!
